Welcome

Our Sanctuary’s Journey

For Andreana and Brian, it all started with a calling to help animals and regenerate ecosystems. This is their story of sanctuary.

HELD & HEALED ANIMAL SANCTUARY

We exist to hold the vulnerable, heal the wounded, and restore harmony between animals, people, and the land through lifelong sanctuary, regenerative stewardship, and compassionate action—while raising the next generation to care for all life with responsibility, reverence, and heart.

Our Story

Held and Healed is a family-run farm animal sanctuary built on the belief that healing animals and healing the land are inseparable. Here, vulnerable animals find lifelong refuge, gentle holistic care, and the dignity of being seen for who they are—not for what they can produce.

As a small family raising our children alongside this work, stewardship is woven into our everyday lives. Through regenerative land practices, biodiversity, responsible resource use, and hands-on care, we are restoring trust, rebuilding soil, and raising the next generation to protect life with responsibility, reverence, and heart.

For most of her life, Velvet was valued for what she could produce, not for who she was. Now, at 29, she is held with patience, specialized care, and the quiet dignity of growing old in peace. In the rhythm of daily hands, gentle voices, and unhurried care, Velvet reminds us that healing often begins with simply being seen.

Found alone and never reclaimed, Diva chose a different ending. Here, her joyful spirit, sharp mind, and loving heart fill each day with laughter, connection, and muddy boots. She reminds us how quickly trust can bloom when a life is truly held.

After losing his mother following the birth of his little sister, Little Richard arrived with his father and a story still unfolding. Though he sees the world through one eye, he meets it with fearless curiosity and endless personality. In every playful step, he reminds us that healing doesn’t erase loss—it teaches us how to move forward with joy.
